Hello again and welcome to another Own Your Life Club Newsletter!
What an exciting Summer of Sport in Australia - you'd have to be living under a rock not to have noticed. There's so much going on. While some parts of the world freeze, here the heat is on!
We've had some fantastic cricket, with the One Day Series against the South Africans continuing over the next week or so in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
Then there's been wonderful tennis all over the country leading up to the Australian Open which started yesterday in Melbourne. I watched Bernard Tomic create history by being the youngest male to win a game at the Australian Open - at just 16!
And of course the Tour Down Under in Adelaide which has created massive worldwide interest with the return of Lance Armstrong to Pro Tour racing. What a legend!
And finally a US connection with two ex-Aussie Rules footballers yesterday playing on opposing sides in the US NFL - Sav Rocca playing for the Philadelphia Eagles and Ben Graham for the Arizona Cardinals (the Cardinals beat the Eagles 32-25). Ben Graham looks set to be the first Australian to play the Super Bowl. Awesome!
They're all so good at what they do that it looks easy. But it's not easy and takes an enormous effort to be the best of the best. It's just a coincidence that they're all men by the way!

This fortnight's Success Tip comes from eBay expert Amanda Clarkson.
Amanda Clarkson is a very savvy lady who has built a large and successful business selling on eBay.
Amanda is an expert in eBay and now provides education to others about how they can experience a similar success. Amanda says eBay is a great place to start an online business venture. There is nothing quite like the feeling of making your first $1 online!
It's easy to get started. Just sell something you have made, something you have bought, or something you have found lying around the house that you no longer need!
Even if you are not interested in starting an eBay business, Amanda's advice is also relevant for anyone with an internet business or who is trying to make money online.
What made you decide to start your current internet businesses?
"I own two businesses right now:
1. An eBay business – where I get to sell things online to people all over the world, from the comfort of my own home.
2. An eBay education company – where Matt and I teach people our courses (based on our own experiences and successes) about how to make unlimited money on eBay. I started my education business after experiencing instant success selling all kinds of things. After only eight months we were bringing in more than $50,000 a month. Naturally, people around me were intrigued as to how I was able to make so much money in such a short period of time (and while only working part-time).
It was at this point that I decided to fill a gap in the marketplace by showing people how to have a profitable eBay business by following our simple step-by-step systems. My aim was for anyone, no matter what their background, to generate high profits while only working part-time."
How long did it take you to earn a full-time living from eBay? How many hours did you need to work every day?
"It was very quick, which was lucky, because in the beginning all I did was sell everything that wasn’t nailed down – self-development books, DVDs, CDs, cassettes, videos, clothing and accessories, and household electronics. After I ran out of things to sell, I contacted friends and colleagues and started selling things they didn’t want anymore. They were more than happy to help me out in my new venture and probably thought I was mad! I even had a few people laugh about my new ‘hobby’; little did they know that I was on my way to generating over $50,000 a month in sales within the first few months!
I was able to do this because while I was selling my household wares, I was diligently researching untapped markets on eBay to sell into and sourcing products that I could sell long term. During this research phase, I was on my computer around six hours a day. To tell you the truth, I was addicted to looking at how much money other sellers were making!
After just eight months, once our income had hit the $50,000 a month mark, both Matt and I were only working around two to three hours a day each. This was possible because 85 per cent of what we were doing was automated. This gave us extra free time to start planning the next phase of our business: to help others start a profitable eBay business. I was so crazy about selling on eBay that I wanted to share my knowledge with everyone who could only dream about their ideal lifestyle.
What types of people are suited to running an eBay business?
If you yearn to earn money freely, without having a limit attached as you do in a job, then you are suited to running an eBay business. Right now as you read this book, there are mums and dads, university students, savvy businesspeople, Baby Boomers, people with disabilities, and even young children making money on eBay – it’s a level playing field which allows absolutely anyone to earn money.
