Julie Vale
Julie Vale was born at Glenelg, South Australia in 1951. She has three sisters and a brother. Her parents were hard working and very family focused. There was no extra money for holidays or luxuries but they always had nutritious food and wore nice clothes. In those days kids had a lot of freedom to roam on weekends and during school holidays, often waving goodbye after breakfast and not being seen again until dinner time. The long, hot Australian summers were spent on the nearby beach. Julie Vale's childhood was a carefree and happy one.
Julie Vale graduated from Business College and began working for a bank. At 18 she left Australia to work in a small town in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea. Travel was then well and truly on the agenda so she headed overeseas by ship to find work and adventure. She found both! During the winters she worked in London and New York, and during the warmer months travelled through Europe with two friends and an old VW Kombi. One of the great experiences of her life, visiting 18 countries in all.
Returning to Australia , Julie Vale began a 9 year love affair with cruising yachts which led to many adventures in Australian waters. Later the opportunity arose to crew on a yacht leaving Darwin and heading to Europe. It took her a milli-second to make the decision to join them - the yacht was sailing in 3 days! She had intended to sail only as far as Bali but the new lifestyle was irresistible.
A chance meeting in an Egyptian port in the Red Sea changed the course of Julie's life she when met the captain of a German cargo ship. Their paths crossed again months later and they eventually married in Germany where their first son Aaron was born. They moved to Australia in 1988 where their second son Noah was born. Julie Vale chose to be a stay-at-home mum so the next years were spent in that amazing role. Unfortunately the marriage ended in 1996.
However, Julie Vale met Richard Beazley (and his sons Roger and Greg) and they were married in 2000. In her mid-40s it was not easy to find work after being out of the workforce for several years. She became a partner in Richard's business and they soon realised that if some changes were not made, they would be seeing out their years on a Government pension. They decided they wanted more than that - and so began a journey of discovery through education, knowledge and self development.
Now, after just a few short years, Julie Vale has established a share portfolio, owns investment properties, runs successful websites and has already achieved many of her goals. Her passion is to pass on her knowledge and experience to help others become successful - through the creation of Own Your Life Club.
